Pham Hoang Man – last year student of Tan Tao University received 1 out of 3 scholarships of “Young Southeast ASEAN Leader Initiative” (YSEALI) for Vietnamese students from American President Barack Obama which is established in order to help, support and connect young people from all Southeast ASEAN countries.
Affirming Vietnamese youth’s value
Pham Hoang Man is the youngest person, together with a Doctor who majors in public policy and a teacher of a university in Ha Noi well done on passing a huge number of candidates on all over the country to become 1 of 3 people who presents for Viet Nam and stands with 21 candidates from other ASEAN countries received 1-year full scholarship to study in USA on September, 2015 (including travelling expenses, books, cultural activities and other subsistence expenses)
“Venturesome” choice of a real leader
In 2001, Tan Tao University is the first non-profit which was just established, so it was hard for people to trust about a pinnacle education’s success that TTU could provide. Pham Hoang Man came first in the entrance exam of Economic & Business School in the first year of TTU (2011). Hoang Man is one of the excellence leading wings, together with TTU, he started the first steps in order to affirm a qualified education environment of America in Viet Nam. Overcome the difficulties, Pham Hoang Man achieved several prizes in succession: winning the national English competition, receiving Vallet scholarship of Rencontres du Viet Nam, Truong Vinh Ky award of Chairman of the people’s committees in Ben Tre… Hence, famous universities was good choice for Man. Nevertheless, Hoang Man had a venturesome decision which is considered as turning-point of his life: choosing to bring up and develop his indulgence at Tan Tao University. In the first years, TTU students will have to go along with the faculty and the school gradually acquainted and set up the processes, regulations or education programs so as to build the school tradition. At that time, Pham Hoang Man was distinguished as an excellent “leader” in both cultural and social activities of the school.

Success from the passion and determination of the young ASEAN leader
During the study process, Pham Hoang Man has continuously won full scholarship and participated actively in extracurricular activities of the school as well as national and international volunteer organizations and programs. For example, joining English Club of the school with several free teaching programs for orphans and poor children inside the area, volunteering for community projects on sex education and green campaigns for rural area; participating in the Japan-East Asia Network of Youths and Students Exchange Program organized by the Japan International Cooperation Center (JICE), Member of Executive Committee of TTU Student Association …
With the goal of training talented, faithful, TTU-level leaders and by his own efforts, supporting from teachers as well as TTU’s friends, especially the whole-hearted instruction of Dang Thanh Nhon – lecturer of Humanities, Pham Hoang Man is not only TTU’s pride, but also one of the role models that contribute to strengthening the leadership and connectivity in ASEAN, deepening engagement with young leaders against key regional and global challenges.
