Define the values of Vietnamese Youth

Pham Hoang Man was the youngest one, together with a PhD. in Public Policy and a professor in Hanoi, to be excellent enough to surpass many applicants from all over the country and proudly selected to be one of the three representatives from Vietnam, among the total number of 21 participants in ASEAN who won the full scholarships to study in the US for one year, starting from September 2015. The scholarship includes all expenses such as transportation, books and materials, cultural activities, mails, other living expenses which are sponsored by the US Diplomacy Center)

One “risky” choice of a true Leader

Back in 2011 when Tan Tao University was newly established as a non-profit school, it was hard to gain original trust in a top education in its very first steps into the field. Pham Hoang Man passed that year’s university entrance exam with the highest score to be the first generation of TTU School of Business. Man is one of the first excellent leading members who has been with TTU in every first step on its way to become an American standard educational environment in Vietnam. Being through all ups and downs, Pham Hoang Man constantly achieved different awards from the national gifted student competition, Vallet scholarship of Rencontres du VietNam, Truong Vinh Ky award and so on. There would be no doubt if high-reputation universities were Man’s first choice. However, Man made a risky decision which was also a turning point to enter Tan Tao University to nurture and grow his passions.

In the first years, TTU students together with the school and all professors were step by step getting used to and establishing procedures, regulations and academic programs to build TTU’s own culture. During that time, Pham Hoang Man was outstanding as a great “leader” in all cultural and social activities in TTU.

Success from passion and determination of ASEAN Young Leader

During 4 years at TTU, Pham Hoang Man always achieved full scholarship and was very active in all extracurricular activities of the school’s clubs as well as other national and international organizations and programs: free English class for underprivileged kids in the area (TTU English club), volunteer for community projects about gender education and green campaign in rural Vietnam, member of Youth and Student Exchange Network Japan-East Asia by Japan International Cooperation Center (JICE), member of TTU student council,…

With the main goal to educate good leaders for TTU and with all self-efforts, supports from professors and friends, especially dedicated instructions from Mr. Dang Thanh Nhon – professor from School of Humanities and Languages, Pham Hoang Man is not only TTU’s pride but also one of the brightest examples that promotes leadership and connections among ASEAN young leaders in front of key challenges for the region and the whole world.
